Video is the New Currency

A Senior VP with a major software company recently made the statement, “Video is the New Currency“. What does this mean? The number of traditional broadcast hours we view has dropped dramatically. We consume and share more and more media content via sites like YouTube, Netflix, & Facebook.

We consume media when and where ever we want to — on our flat screens, computers, tablets or our smart phones. Short engaging videos that entertain or inform us, we often share with our friends on Facebook or send them as YouTube links via email.
